We are a collective of filmmakers, storytellers, hunters and outdoorsmen, with the common goal of sharing our experiences off the beaten path.

Nicholas Thielmann - Founder/Director
Nic was born with a spirit of creativity and a longing for adventure. He grew up on his family farm in the Manitoban prairies where he worked on the field between school and took up the practice of whitetail hunting, passed down to him by his dad. After finishing school, he decided to leave home and make the move out west. He settled in Chilliwack, British Columbia, a farm town at the foot of the mountains. There he worked farmhand jobs until he found his way into the film industry. He knew he wanted to tell stories in the outdoor space when the opportunity to film a mountain goat hunt came about. It became obvious that the world of hunting was a space that he was passionate about and that there were so many rich stories to tell within that practice. Since that realization, Nic has been honing his craft of filmmaking, becoming a more capable outdoorsman and pushing himself further as a hunter.
NOLAN SCHNEIDER - Co-Owner/Producer
Born and raised in an ocean town on the west coast of British Columbia, Nolan now calls the mountains of Chilliwack home with his wife, Kat and dog, Whiskey. Nolan has produced commercial, TV, and documentary work all around the world. Throughout his travels, he always felt a pull to the landscape and animals that his home province of BC had to offer. He grew up in the action sports industry and cut his teeth on waterfowl hunting in his early years. Now he has fully leaned into hunting as a lifestyle and way of life, providing for himself and his family. Nolan’s passion for storytelling and hunting comes from an origin of conservation. He has an inherent need to pass on the stories, lessons learned, and “crack a beer” good times to his peers and the next generation.
Friends of Fargone
Fargone works with a community of hunters and outdoorsmen who are passionate about their local wilderness and actively participate in it. We follow them into the bush chasing wild game, challenging terrain and inspiring stories.
